Thurstan has more than 14 Years working experience in financial services having previously held senior and executive management roles at the PIC and Khumovest. He held the position of Associate Principal: Private Equity and Structured Investment Products at the PIC prior to his resignation in 2016. While at the PIC, he concluded mid to large cap PE Transactions in excess of R14 billion in South Africa and in excess of USD500 million in the Rest of Africa. He also concluded Structured Finance transactions with JSE Listed entities in excess of R32 billion. He founded Khumovest in 2015 as an Investment and Advisory Firm where he concluded M&A Advisory Mandates in excess of R4.5 billion. Thurstan has previously held Non-Executive Director positions at Bayport Management Limited, Gemcorp Capital South Africa, Pharma Marketing International and Menlyn Maine Investment Holdings. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Bidvest International Logistics.
